John Gochberg joined TGM in 2000 as an Acquisitions Analyst, was an Acquisitions Officer from 2001 to 2003, and was Director of Property Operations beginning in 2003 until 2008 when he became Chief Operating Officer. In 2017 Mr. Gochberg became the Chief Executive Officer and President and he is responsible for the overall management of the firm. Mr Gochberg is also the head of acquisitions and chairs both the Investment and Operating Committees.
Prior to joining TGM’s staff, Mr. Gochberg competed for the United States in sailing between 1992 and 2000, was a member of the United States Sailing Team and holds several national championships.
Additionally, from 1997 to 2000, Mr. Gochberg was a partner in Sailing Resources Inc., a company focused on coaching high level sailors and the marketing of racing boats and other related products.
Michael Frazzetta joined TGM in May of 2002 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for TGM’s treasury, accounting, and control functions, as well as oversight of investor relations. He is a member of the Investment and Operating Committees.
From 2000 through 2001, Mr. Frazzetta was Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer for Barnard & Co., LLC, which represented a European family group in its global venture capital activities which included direct investments, fund investments, and public market investments resulting from private equity activities.
From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Frazzetta was employed as a Senior Manager in the New York office of Arthur Andersen LLP, first in the Audit and Business Advisory practice and then in the national Transaction Advisory Services practice. He was a founding member of Arthur Andersen LLP’s national Transaction Advisory Services practice.
Mr. Frazzetta is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the AICPA, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the NAREIT, and the Urban Land Institute.
Zachary Goldman joined TGM as an Acquisitions Associate in 2007, served as Director of Special Projects from 2008 until 2009 and was Director of Operations from 2009 until 2019. In 2019, Mr. Goldman became the Chief Operating Officer. As part of this role, he is responsible for managing and overseeing TGM’s day-to-day multifamily operations, which includes marketing, leasing, maintenance, construction, energy management, training, and human resources. Mr. Goldman is a member of the Investment and Operating Committees.
Steven Macy, CPM®, co-founded TGM with Thomas Gochberg in 1991. He is a member of the Investment and Operating Committees. During TGM’s formative years he was head of Asset and Property Management and since 2005 he has devoted full time to property acquisitions.
Mr. Macy worked at Smith Barney Real Estate Corporation from 1974 to 1984 and at its successor company, Security Capital Real Estate Corporation, from 1984 to 1987. His responsibilities involved nationwide property management for these organizations which managed a portfolio valued in excess of $1 billion.
From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Macy was Senior Vice President of Integrated Resources, Inc. and a Director and member of the Office of the President and Executive Vice President of its subsidiary, Resources Property Management Corporation. He was responsible for the management of Integrated’s national portfolio of 32,000 apartments valued at more than $1.2 billion.
Mr. Macy is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and holds the Institute’s Certified Property Management designation. Mr. Macy also belongs to the National Apartment Association and the National Multi Housing Council where he served on the Board of Directors from 1990 to 1991.
