Our Story

TGM has a long-term proven track record for acquisition, property management, and timely liquidation of multi-family properties on a nationwide basis.  

Since its formation on July 1, 1991 through June 30, 2006, TGM has invested over $1 billion in 101 multi-family residential properties.  The 101 properties contain 27,658 apartment units located in 23 states and 41 cities.  Of the 101 properties purchased, TGM has sold 46 properties.  As of June 30, 2006, the current portfolio of 55 properties contains over 15,000 units.

 TGM was formed in 1991 by Thomas Gochberg and Steven Macy.  The two co-founders have worked together since 1974, organizing and managing real estate investment entities with over $4 billion in equity.  They have managed the acquisition of more than 75,000 apartment units and 5 million feet of office, retail, and industrial properties.

The continuity of involvement and real estate experience of the founders is mirrored by the TGM Staff.  Most of our senior professionals have worked with Thomas Gochberg and Steven Macy since before the formation of TGM.
